Tyres - black, round and unfortunately consumable. The only part of the bike to hopefully touch the road, the IOM TT course will kill a rear in 4 laps.
At circa £250 for a rear that’s a whopping £62.50 a lap… £1.65 a mile!
Thankfully the front wears at around half of that rate and is a slightly cheaper tyre.
